Cause analysis and solution of belt conveyor idler wear

The roller is damaged for the following reasons:

1. The friction resistance between the roller and the conveyor belt is too large.

2. The running direction of the conveyor belt and the rotation direction of the roller have a deflection angle, and the deflection friction resistance is generated, which leads to the wear of the roller.

3. When the conveyor is running in a bad environment, the roller will have friction with the coal and dirt, and eventually lead to the wear of the roller.



Precautions to avoid roller damage:

1. It is necessary to arrange the layout of rollers reasonably according to the actual conditions such as working conditions and transportation capacity, so as to avoid the phenomenon of excessive local force on rollers.

2. It is necessary to minimize the distance between the convex arc rollers and increase the number of rollers, so as to reduce the force of a single roller. In the convex arc section, the spacing of the idlers is generally set to 1/2 of the normal spacing, but when the load is large here, this distance can be further reduced, or a larger specification idler can be replaced.

3. After the form, spacing, conveyor belt form and belt speed of the rollers are determined, it is also necessary to pay attention to the local resonance area to take anti-resonance measures to avoid the deformation of the rollers caused by resonance.
