In the process of belt conveyor operation, it is inevitable that some materials or dust adhere to the surface of the conveyor belt, which cannot be completely discharged through the discharge device, at this time, we need a cleaner to clean these attached materials. A cleaner is a cleaning device for adhesive and lumpy materials of a belt conveyor. The main function of the cleaner is to reduce excessive wear and tear on the conveyor belt and reduce energy consumption.
(1) Keep the conveyor belt clean and ensure that the conveyor belt has enough friction on the transmission roller to prevent the conveyor belt from slipping and the conveyor belt from deviating;
(2) Effectively reduce the wear of viscous and large materials on the conveyor belt and roller, and effectively prolong the service life of the conveyor belt and roller;
(3) Ensure that the conveyor belt runs smoothly, and does not jump up and down, left and right, and tear the conveyor belt;
(4) With the reduction of viscosity, it can effectively protect the bearing roller, bracket, transmission roller, reversing roller, etc., ensure normal operation and reduce the maintenance rate of conveying equipment.
The cleaner of a belt conveyor can be roughly divided into three parts: the head cleaner, the middle cleaner, and the tail cleaner. They have different divisions of labor and roles.
(1) The head cleaner is used for the cleaning work on the belt unloading drum return belt, and the cleaner is matched with the belt conveyor, and the cleaner is equipped with a heavy hammer tension or spring tensioning.
(2) The middle cleaner is also used to clean the non-working surface of the belt, so that the material sticky on the lower belt surface is transmitted to the lower roller and the reversing roller as little as possible.
(3) The tail empty section cleaner is responsible for cleaning the non-working surface in front of the tail of the belt conveyor.
