Conveyor belt: The conveyor belt is both a bearing mechanism and a traction mechanism. There are three types of conveyor belts commonly used, namely ordinary conveyor belts, wire rope core conveyor belts, and wire rope traction conveyor belts.
(1) Ordinary conveyor belt: Ordinary conveyor belt can be used on fixed, rope hanging, and telescopic belt conveyors.
(2) Steel wire rope core conveyor belt: This conveyor belt is a strong conveyor belt made of steel wire rope (to withstand tensile force) and covered with rubber. It can be divided into two types: no cloth layer (full rubber) and cloth layer.
(3) Performance requirements of conveyor belts: The conveyor belt used underground must meet the relevant requirements of the (Coal Mine Safety Regulations) and must use flame-retardant conveyor belts.
The so-called flame retardant conveyor belt refers to the conveyor belt formed by plasticization and vulcanization into a flame retardant conveyor belt in the process of producing the conveyor belt, adding a certain amount of flame retardant agent and antistatic agent.
Flame retardant conveyor belts should meet the following requirements when doing safety performance tests:
(a) Conductivity requirements (surface resistance specified value).
When the conductivity test of the specimen is done, the surface resistance value of the upper and lower surface resistance layers of the specimen shall not exceed 300 megaohms.
(b) Drum friction test requirements.
When the fixed specimen rubs against the rotating steel drum, the specimen should be completely non-flammable.
(c) Alcohol blowtorch burning test requirements.
When the flame is removed from under the specimen, the specimen should be completely non-flammable or self-extinguishing.
(d) Requirements for propane combustion test in conventional roadways.
After the burner is removed from the conveyor belt for the conventional roadway propane combustion test, the flame on the test piece should be extinguished by itself.
